For a kid who is terrified of spiders, an awful lot of effort went in to making this drawing of the Legend that is Spiderman.
But what can you find inside the mind of a 5 year old artist?
I was getting a little worried that he ought to be writing more, better.
Until I watched him drawing this masterpiece. His careful, tiny pencil strokes showed great motor-skill development, and the conscious planning that went in to every detail was breathtaking. OK, so it’s still basically about death and mutilation (one step at a time, eh?) but what thought and meticulousness lies behind the carnage!
I may not have found Da Vinci, but I did find reassurance inside the mind of my 5 year old artist.
Do you ever just sit and actually watch your children whilst they are creating something?
