This post is part of a weekly series of ‘link-up’ Posts which reflect on life’s journey, old memories and family stories (see below for more info).
Some people can define the stages of their lives by places; where they were when x happened. Others can tell you their story through the music which transports them back to key moments. For me, it’s just hair.
Long, short, permed, Lady Di, blonde, dark: I’ve had ‘em all over the years. Mostly a big fat ‘fail’, but also largely recorded on celluloid for your enjoyment.
Friends, I give you ‘A life in hair’. Ta da!
Spot the 1980s? Can you tell which was an attempt to cover up a major blonde ‘fail’? How did you like my witch-black period? (Yeah, me either). Noticeably, I am reverting to shorter and shorter styles these days. Regression to childhood, when my mother apparently got me & my brother trimmed at ‘two for the price of one’?!
Can you place a time in your life simply from your hair cut?!!? Share your memories with us – either write a blog post and link it up (the Linky will stay open for some time yet, so no need to rush), or just share your memories with us in the comments if you prefer – you don’t have to have a Blog to play! Everyone welcome here. Consider it therapy. But do tell your friends!

Brilliant, loved this memoir in hair! Oh yes! I could spot the 80′s (and 90′s) do’s! Your style has definitely evolved – It looks at its best now!
Thanks God for that. The perm was a corker. I really thought I was something too….
